We have a family wedding at 8 weeks and I need to fly 3 hours. My doctor hasn't restricted anything yet but I'm nervous.
Flying in the first trimester is generally safe for a healthy pregnancy. The main concerns are blood clots (DVT) on long-haul flights, so stay hydrated, walk the aisle every hour, and wear compression socks. Cabin pressure and cosmic radiation at 8 weeks pose no known risk for a single short trip. Just carry a copy of your reports in case.
I flew at 9 weeks for my brother's wedding! Just told the airline in case, kept snacks handy for nausea, chose an aisle seat so I could get up easily, and was totally fine. The stress of missing the event would have been worse than the trip. Enjoy the wedding!
