- Rice – 1/2 cup
- Yellow moong dal – 1/2 cup
- Fenugreek seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Ghee – 1.5 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida (hing) – a pinch
- Salt – to taste
Instructions

Wash rice and dal together; soak 15 minutes.

Heat ghee in a pressure cooker; add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, and hing.

Add rice, dal, turmeric, salt, and 3 cups water.
